The jet engine has a wall (30) enclosing a gas flow e.g. combustion gas or air flow, which is ejected at a downstream end (30a) of the wall along a longitudinal axis (XX'). A set of ducts (60-74) is distributed at a periphery of the downstream end. Each duct ejects a fluid jet (76) in the form of spray via an outlet orifice such that the ejected fluid jet forms a fluidic disturbance around the ejected gas flow. A set of chevrons is distributed at the periphery of the downstream end so as to form a mechanical sound attenuation device.
