<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method to maintain a constant drug delivery rate regardless of changes in an apparent transport efficiency of an electric transport and delivery system by controlling the output electric current in the system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The constant drug delivery rate is maintained with the regulator of the electric transport and delivery system by the automatic control of the output electric current so as to compensate an apparent change in transport efficiency. The output electric current or electric current applying time is automatically regulated for a specific usage (for example, an on-demand administration) and adjusted to an output electric current profile necessary to maintain a target drug delivery rate to a selected ATE (apparent transport efficiency) model.
