<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support frame which can save work and cost at the time of attachment or removal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The support frame 1 (a support frame for an on-roof work protection element) is provided with a bottom frame member 6, a pair of strut members 7, 7, a connection device 15, and a support leg 8. The bottom frame member is attached to a roof 2, and the pair of strut members 7, 7 are extended in an inclining state from both-end sides of the bottom frame member 6 to an upper part above on the halfway side. The connection device connects top-end sides of the pair of strut members to each other. The top-end side of the support leg is pivoted to the connection device 15, and its lower-end side is fixed to the roof 2 in a position which is separated from the bottom frame member 6. When the connection device 15 is formed using a bolt 20, it is preferable that a plurality of through-holes 16 of the bolt 20 are formed on the top-end side of the support leg 8 in the longitudinal direction.
