<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming adjustment method which are capable of properly and easily adjusting the deviation of an image formation start position or an image size due to heat-fixing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes an image forming processing section 21 which forms a first image on one surface of a paper and a second image on the other surface of the paper and a heat-fixing section 22 which heat-fixes the first image and the second image formed on the paper. The image forming apparatus 100 further includes a control section 6a which performs control for causing the image forming processing section 21 to form the first image and the second image on only one surface of the paper and causing the heat-fixing section 22 to heat-fix the formed first image and second image and causes the image forming processing section 21 to adjust the deviation of the image formation start position or the image size, based on the deviation amount of the image formation start position or the image size on the paper between the heat-fixed first image and second image.
