<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator using a plurality of cyclones and having a simple structure and good collection efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This oil separator includes a plurality of cyclones 31-34 arranged in a line, and a blow-by gas straightening chamber 20 positioned at an upper part side surface of the cyclone in parallel with the line of the cyclones. A flow-in port 22 of the blow-by gas is formed at an upstream side of the line of the cyclones in the straightening chamber 20. Outer circumference walls at a cyclone upper part in a section facing the straightening chamber 20 are used as bulkheads 41-44 separating the straightening chamber 20 and the cyclones 31-34. Slits 51-54 to be inlets of blow-by gas into the cyclones are formed on the bulkheads 41-44 in parallel with an axial direction of the cyclones. The blow-by gas flowing in the straightening chamber 20 and flowing along the outer wall surface or the bulkheads 41-43 flows in along an inner surface of the cyclones in a tangent direction of an outer circumference wall of the cyclones 31-34 from the slits 51-54.
