<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker that can make steam to be stably returned to water and that facilitates handling of a water tank containing cooling water for returning steam to water. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cooker includes a body case having a lid to be freely opened/closed, a heating vessel to be stored in the body case, a steam discharge passage for guiding steam generated in the heating vessel to the outside thereof, a water tank which is mounted at the lower part of the body case in a manner freely set in and out of the body case side and which contains cooling water to a prescribed level, and a guide tube which is provided freely movably in a vertical direction in the body case and which is normally urged upward by a spring. The guide tube is designed such that, with the lid closed, one open end of the guide tube communicates with the steam discharge passage while the other open end is in communication with the cooling water in the water tank and that, with the lid open, the other end of the guide tube is situated outside the water tank by means of the urging of the spring.
