<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost local clean type coating film forming apparatus prevented from the occurrence of coating unevenness, the incorporation of a foreign substance in a gas stream into a material to be coated by the effect of the gas stream flowing in a closed space or the deposition of a foreign substance produced by the coagulation of a solid portion in the coating material on the material to be coated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coating film forming apparatus 100 for forming a coating film on the outer periphery of an endless belt-like material to be coated which is formed from a rectangular cross-sectional container 1 forming a closed space 1A by blocking a coating film forming area from the outside thereof is provided with a fan filter unit 3 for supplying clean air into the closed space 1A from the center part of the upper wall of the container 1, a first flow straightening plate 18a arranged to pass the air supplied from the fan filter unit 3 to the inside of the side wall of the container 1A and an exhaust fan 4 for exhausting the air in the first closed space 1A to the outside.
