<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat utilization type heat pump system capable of further improving COP. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This waste heat utilization type heat pump system comprises a heat pump device 4 having a heat source device 8 having an exhaust cylinder 22 generating heat source 7 and an exhaust gas by combustion of fuel, and discharging the exhaust gas to the external, and a refrigerant circuit 20 constituted by inserting an expansion valve 18, a heat exchanger 16, a compressor 14 and a refrigerant heat transfer tube 12 in a refrigerant circulation passage 10, and heating the refrigerant heat transfer pipe by the exhaust gas in the exhaust cylinder, and the heat source device has an outside air introducing means for introducing the outside air to the exhaust cylinder regardless of generation or non-generation of the flue gas.
