<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the restriction of a shape of a sheet type handling apparatus with a tray supporting paper sheets. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This sheet type handling apparatus which handles the paper sheets is provided with: an apparatus body having an introduction port for introducing the paper sheets; a first lid member rotatably attached to the apparatus body for supporting the paper sheets and introducing the paper sheets into the introduction port; and a second lid member which is connected to the first lid member, and covers the introduction port when the first lid member is closed.
