PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive pressure reducing valve in which any chattering phenomenon that a disc-shaped main valve repeats an open/close valve little by little is not generated, and to provide a pressure reducing valve in which the protrusion of the disc-shaped main valve can be shortened. SOLUTION: A valve casing 1 is formed with an entrance 2 and an exit 3. A valve seat member 4 in which a main valve port 5 which communicates the entrance 2 with the exit 3 is opened is mounted on the valve casing 1. A disc-shaped main valve 6 opening and closing the main valve port 5 is arranged so as to be biased in a valve opening and closing direction by a coil spring 17. The pitch of the section of the coil spring 17 in the vicinity of the disc-shaped main valve 6 is set to be small, and the pitch of the section of the coil spring 17 far from the disc-shaped main valve 6 is set to be large, so that the pitches thereof can be set to be non-uniform, and the butted face of the coil spring 17 with the disk-shaped main valve 6 is formed with a protrusion 10, and the section of the coil spring 17 whose pitch is small is positioned in the circumference of the protrusion 10, so that the side of the coil spring 17 in the vicinity of the disc-shaped main valve 6 can be held.
