PURPOSE: A laser forming apparatus and a method for manufacturing a head suspension using the apparatus are provided to obtain modification precision of two times greater than the case of reciprocally scanning a laser beam. CONSTITUTION: A laser forming apparatus(40) includes a laser generator(41), a half mirror(42), a first optical system(50), a second optical system(60), and a condensing lens transfer mechanism. The laser generator projects a laser beam. The half mirror reflects and transmits the laser beam which comes out from the laser generator. The first optical systems condenses a first laser beam reflected by the half mirror using a first condensing lens(51), and induces the focal point to a fixed position of a spring molded product(1) placed on a jig. The second optical systems condenses a second laser beam using a second condensing lens(61), and induces the focal point to the location which is symmetric to the fixed position about the central line of the spring molded product. The condensing lens transfer mechanism moves the first and second condensing lenses. |
