PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mounting an shuttle rotation stop member for a sewing machine which allows adjustment of a mounting position of an shuttle rotation stop member along the rotary shaft of an shuttle race cover. SOLUTION: The structure is provided with a mounting position adjustment unit 31 for mounting the shuttle rotation stop member 11 to a position adjustable manner along the rotary shaft 112a of the shuttle race cover 112 constituting a part of a vertical shuttle 110. The mounting position adjustment unit 31 mainly consists of a mounting screw 3; a mounting groove 4 extended along the rotary shaft 112a of the shuttle race cover 112 integrally formed with a sewing machine frame 2, a screw hole 4b formed at the center of the bottom surface 4a of the mounting groove 4 and threadedly receiving the tip part of the screw 3, a convex portion 15 projecting on one surface of a base section 12 of the shuttle rotation stop member 11, and a long hole 16 which is formed in order to put the tip of the mounting screw 3 therethrough in such a manner to extend through the base section 12 and the convex portion 15 of the shuttle rotation stop member 11 and which is long along the extending direction of the mounting groove 4.
