PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of obtaining an EPG table for more easily recognizing a broadcasting form. SOLUTION: When EPG data is received, all the received EPG data is checked (S305). When a plurality of identical programs are not present within the same time zone as a result, a normal EPG table is created which displays contents of a corresponding program, for each channel (S309). At the same time, when the plurality of identical programs are present, an EPG table is created according to the present form for displaying one item of the same program content in the same area over a plurality of channels (S311).
