<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a pseudo narrow view image data using various auxiliary image data on a liquid crystal panel without transferring the auxiliary data to a driver circuit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is constructed of an LCD controller 17 generating display data from main image data and auxiliary image control data, and a liquid crystal display module 18 receiving the display data from the LCD controller 17 via a data transmission line 35 to control the liquid crystal display panel 22. The LCD controller 17 outputs the display data including the main image data and the auxiliary image control data from which a part of bit is reduced. The liquid crystal display module 18 generates auxiliary image data based on the auxiliary image control data, and generates pseudo narrow view image data, by which average luminance of adjacent pixels on the liquid crystal display panel 22 in normal vision becomes a value matching the main image data and a luminance difference of the adjacent pixels in the normal vision becomes a value matching the auxiliary image data, from the display data.
