<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take account of situations and conditions for storing operational conditions as a history, and enable more convenient operational conditions for a user to be stored as a history. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus executes each job of inputting image data, processing image data and outputting image data. The apparatus includes: history information storing means for storing operational settings of the jobs in reusable form when each job is executed; and history information developing means for developing the operational settings stored in the history information storing means for reusing them. The apparatus combines a page condition according to a beginning image of input image data group in respect to a page condition as an operational setting to be specified for each input of individual image data, and an operational setting at the time of establishment of an output form of the input image data group in respect to a job condition as an operational setting to be specified for the input image data group, and causes the history information storing means to store the resulting combination as one operational setting.
