<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical motor device with a reduction gear wherein lubricating oil can be supplied to a spline joint between the output shaft of a motor and a sun gear, and the output shaft of the motor can be arranged in a motor housing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In lubricating oil stored in the reduction gear, a planetary gear mechanism is arranged. A driving shaft 20 of the sun gear 11a in the planetary gear mechanism is spline-joined to the output shaft 5a of the vertical motor. The lower end face of the output shaft 5a is located inside a motor case 19 storing the vertical motor. A protruded spline 24 is formed on the outer peripheral face of the driving shaft 20. At the lower end of the output shaft 5a, a recessed spline 23 is formed to be engaged with the protruded spline 24. On the flange of the vertical motor, a cover 31 is provided for covering the outer peripheral face of the driving shaft 20 in an isolated state.
