<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use in a stable drive mode and to eliminate a difference in a photoacoustic signal generated from background components without using a 180° phase shifter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 91 for measuring concentrations of components includes a first light source 10 and a second light source 11 that output continuous lights with different wavelengths, an optical switch 15 that sequentially outputs the continuous lights from the first light source 10 and the second light source 11 at a predetermined fixed frequency from an identical output terminal, and a sonic wave detecting section 17 that detects sonic waves for measurement which are generated from an object 101 to be measured by the lights from the first light source 10 and the second light source 11 output from the optical switch 15.
