<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, an image processing device and an image processing program capable of extracting the image of a linear object from the image obtained by imaging the linear object extending in designated direction as a sample with sufficient accuracy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: With each of a plurality of different degrees of luminosity as a threshold value, the image processing device 1 calculates an area relative length of the area corresponding to the linear body for each of the threshold values, and extracts the area formed at that time as a sample of the linear object, with the designated degree of luminosity from a convex curbed part as the optimal threshold value in the relative length plot group.
