There is provided a method and a system for determining a level of risk associated with doing business with a party. The method includes (a) determining a first risk score that characterizes the party, based on a presented characteristic of the party, (b) determining a second risk score that characterizes the party, based on an activity that involves the party; and (c) determining a resultant risk score that characterizes the party, based on the first and second risk scores. There is also provided a system that performs the method, and a storage medium having a program encoded thereon that is executable in a processor to perform the method.
