Provided are a manual valve having a simple structure, of low cost, and reliably prevented from being opened and closed by accidental or erroneous operation of a handle, a container adapted for placing a liquid product therein and provided with the manual valve, a production device provided with the manual valve, and a method of preventing opening and closing of the manual valve. A manual valve (1A) has a lock member (2A) mounted and fixed to the outer side thereof. The lock member (2A) is provided with a fixed section (3) mounted and fixed to the outer side of the manual valve, a rotatable support section (6) connected to the fixed section (3) through a hinge (7), and a handle lock section (8) either fixedly or rotatably mounted to the front end of the support section (6).
