<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a processing speed from being decelerated when composing copy guard image data based on stamp image data. <P>SOLUTION: The registration of predetermined stamp image data containing a character is accepted and foreground image data are composed based on the accepted registered stamp image data and a predetermined foreground pattern. Then, light and darkness are reversed between the region of the character of the stamp image data and the region other than the character, and the reversed stamp image data is acquired, whereby background image data are composed based on the reversed stamp image data and the predetermined copy guard patten.
