<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control unit capable of clearly judging that a motor is rotating counterclockwise without using a sensor for directly detecting an angle of rotation. <P>SOLUTION: The motor control unit has an estimate section, which measures a terminal voltage of each phase of the motor and estimates an angle of rotation of the motor at each predetermined angle based on the measurement result. A period from the time when an angle of rotation is estimated until it is estimated next is measured as a constant angle period every time an angle of rotation is estimated by the estimate section. When the ratio of the constant angle period measured immediately before and the period measured next is equal to or more than a predetermined value, it is determined that the motor is rotating counterclockwise. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
