<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate construction of an entry/exit gate machine by adopting wireless communication and to prevent the cost of such wireless communication from being sharply increased. <P>SOLUTION: The entry/exit management gate machine 1 comprises: a plurality of light-emitting elements 21 included in respective housings 4, 5; a plurality of light receiving elements 22 for receiving beams emitted from respective light-emitting elements 21 and outputting signals; first control devices 23, 29, 31 for transmitting/receiving signals to the light-emitting elements 21 and the light receiving elements 22 included in the first housing 4; and second control devices 24, 29, 31 for transmitting/receiving signals to/from the light-emitting elements 21 and the light receiving elements 22 included in the second housing 5. The plurality of light-emitting elements 21 are arranged in an area where all emitted beams are not simultaneously shielded by a passing object. The first control devices 23, 29, 31 or the second control devices 24, 29, 31 detect the passing object on the basis of output signals from the light receiving elements 21 and transmit information by wireless communication using the light-emitting elements 21 and the light receiving elements 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
