<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve turbine performance and thermal efficiency by improving air extracting structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This steam turbine includes a casing 12, a turbine nozzle 1 provided inside the casing 12, and a turbine blade 5 arranged on a downstream side of the turbine nozzle, and the turbine nozzle 1 and the turbine blade 5 form multi-stage type turbine stages 11. An air extraction mechanism 25 for extracting air from working fluid is provided in each outlet of each turbine stage 11. The air extraction mechanism 25 has an extraction hole 22a opened in the inner peripheral surface 12b of the casing 12 and an extraction tube 22 communicated with the extraction hole 22a.
