摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control circuit for making a floating height control mechanism which controls the floating height from a recording medium of a head slider, to perform the control for evading a demagnetizing effect, and to provide an information storage device capable of satisfactorily recording/reproducing the information by preparing such the control circuit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The control circuit is equipped with: a head slider 104 including the floating height control mechanism 103 and a recording/reproducing head 102; a low frequency superimposing circuit 105 for superimposing a low frequency voltage to a floating height adjusting signal which adjusts the floating height of the head slider 104; and a polarity discriminating section 106 for comparing a low frequency detecting signal detected from a reproduced signal of the recording/reproducing head with the low frequency voltage to discriminate whether a polarity of the former with respect to the latter is a positive polarity or negative polarity, and when the polarity of the low frequency detecting signal with respect to a low frequency voltage is a negative polarity, by means of deducting by a predetermined value from the floating height adjusting signal, the floating height of the head slider 104 is increased by the deducted amount.
