DATA RETRIEVAL DEVICE AND GATEWAY DEVICE IN COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data retrieval device which is able to efficiently conduct retrieval of frame data even if the quantity of data to be retrieved increases. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A gateway device 1000 which retrieves a storage region that stores data to be transmitted from every-ID buffers 1501, 1502 that are divided into storage regions for every ID data includes: a data update flag 2100 which is disposed for every storage region of an every-ID buffer and represents whether data in a storage region are updated or not; an index flag 2200 which is disposed for every group formed for each predetermined number of data update flags 2100 and represents a data update state when at least one of the data update flags 2100 of a group indicates a state where data are updated; and a software process portion 1400 which after retrieval of the index flag 2200, retrieves a storage region that stores data to be transmitted by retrieving the corresponding data update flag 2100.
