<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of effectively cooling an optical device group while securing stability of a body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The projector P equipped with a light source 2 provided in the body 1, and the optical device group 5 processing emitted light from the light source 2 according to a video signal and emitting video light includes a cooling device 11 whose coolant circuit is constituted of a compressor 12, a radiator 14, an expansion valve 16 functioning as a decompression device and a heat sink 18, which are provided in the body 1, and supplies air subjected to heat exchange with the heat sink 18 to cool the optical device group 5.
