<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear having a rotation stop mechanism capable of axially positioning a driving cam and the like while sufficiently securing a rotation stop force of a driving shaft at the time of installation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotation stop mechanism 31, arranged between a driving cam and a second flange part 3c, for stopping rotation of the driving shaft when installing a predetermined member to the driving shaft is provided with the rotation stop part 32 connected with a side surface 3d of the second flange part and provided with an outer surface formed in a not-circular shape and a fitting member 33 for fitting with an outer circumferential surface of the rotation stop part and provided with an engaging part where a tool engages with the outer surface 33c. In the rotation stop part, a corner part 32b in a tapered protrusion shape is formed at an outer circumference of a side end surface. In the fitting member 33, an escape groove 33d for absorbing the corner part is formed at a front-end circumferential edge of a fitting hole 33a to which the rotation stop part fits.
