PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bicycle which can be used while keeping the restriction of an output current value of a battery, and can generate a suitable assist driving force by a motor. SOLUTION: The electric bicycle detects a pedaling start and a pedaling finish of a pedal 6 on the basis of a depressing force detected by a pedal sensor 39. During one pedaling action from the pedaling start to the pedaling finish of the pedal 6, an integrating amount An of a current not larger than an average current restricting value supplied to a motor 18, and an integrating value Bn of a current exceeding the average current restricting value are obtained. If an integrated result is Bn>An, an instant current restricting value during the next one pedaling action from the pedaling start to the pedaling finish of the next pedal 6 is decreased by a fixed value.
