FIBER FOR FILTER, BOBBIN TYPE FILTER, AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fibers for a filter with a high specific surface area, a bobbin type filter made by winding the fibers, and a water treatment method using the bobbin type filter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The bobbin type filter 1 comprises a water-permeating cylinder 2 and a rolled layer 3 of fibers rolled around the outer circumference of the cylinder 2. The rolled layer 3 is composed of fiber bundles formed by twisting a plurality of nano-fiber-coated fibers and bundling the fibers. Preferably, the nano-fibers are provided with at least one kind of cation-exchange groups, anion-exchange groups, and chelating groups and accordingly the bobbin type filter is provided with ion removal capability.
