The invention relates to foundry engineering. The inventive method involves shaping a casting in a crystalliser, the thermodynamic characteristics of which provide the uniform volumetric cooling of a melt. In order to achieve the isotropy of the casting structure, it is formed in an irregular force field which is produced by ultrasonic oscillations focused on a determined area of the melt in such a way that a local high-pressure zone and a crystallisation center are formed therein and a crystallisation front is directed from said zone towards the casting periphery. The melt, prior to be poured in the crystalliser, is overheated by a quantity which, in combination with the thermodynamic characteristics of the crystalliser, ensure the melt cooling at a rate equal to or less than 0.5°C/s. When the end temperature of natural crystallisation processes is achieved, the irregular force field is removed. The inventive method makes it possible to produce castings having an isotropic structure and exhibiting high strength characteristics.
|
