<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of improving the efficiency of a system which increases the output power of a fuel cell using the fuel cell as a power source. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1 generating electricity by electrochemical reaction of a fuel gas and an oxidation gas includes: a fuel cell 5 in which a plurality of fuel cell units 13 for the electrochemical reaction of the fuel gas and the oxidation gas are layered; an step-up converter 9 which increases an electric power; and a power feeding portion B which takes the electric power from any one fuel cell unit 13 selected from the plurality of layered fuel cell units 13 based on a correlation between the increasing ratio and increasing efficiency of the step-up converter 9, so that the step-up converter 9 operates at predetermined increasing efficiency, and feeds the electric power to the step-up converter 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
