<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for rasterization processing in particular on a network and to provide a printer for efficiently processing print data even when such the device can not be used, in a printing system in which the printer and the device for rasterizing print data are connected on the network. <P>SOLUTION: In the printing system in which the printer 1, a host device 2 for transmitting print data and a host device 3 for rasterization for rasterizing the print data are connected through the network, the host device 3 for rasterization and the printer 1 rasterize print data supplied by the host device 2, and when rasterization processing in the printer 1 is completed earlier than drawing processing (rasterization processing) in the printer 1, a transfer interruption request is output to the host device 2 so that the transmission of the print data from the host device 2 can subsequently be interrupted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
