<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display medium and its manufacturing method for facilitating liquid crystal injection in a manufacturing process and suppressing the fluidity of liquid crystal after sealing to have excellent image holding property. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display medium has a first film substrate 12 formed with first electrode films 13 on one side; a second film substrate 22 formed with second electrode films 23 on one side and arranged to face the first film substrate so that the first electrode films and second electrode films face each other; ribs 14 partitioning to arrange cells 16 in an in-plane direction between the two substrates arranged to face each other; and a liquid crystal composition 20 filled in the cells arranged between the substrates. Openings 18b are formed in the ribs 14b so that the cells arranged between the substrates communicate with one another, and openings 18a are formed in at least two directions in the ribs 14a located at the outer periphery.
