<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating connector capable of holding a moving side housing at a rotating neutral position by a locking mechanism of a simple structure with the small number of components. <P>SOLUTION: As for the rotating connector having a flexible cable 4 housed in a circular space 3 between a fixed side and a moving side housings 1, 2, and made up by mounting a stopper member 7 consisting of a metal plate on a rotor snap 6 integrated with the moving side housing 2, the stopper member 7 has a retainer part 71, an elastic deforming part 72 and a pressure-receiving part 73 formed. With the rotating connector, the moving side housing is locked in a state inhibited to rotate at a rotation neutral position before being mounted on a steering device, as a free-end part 72a of the elastic deforming part 72 is made engaged with a locking groove 15 of a bottom plate 11, and the free-end part 72a is separated from the locking groove 15 to have the moving side housing 2 released from locking at mounting on the steering device, as a steering boss 100 presses down the elastic deforming part 72 through the pressure-receiving part 73. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
