<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-quench tempering apparatus for a glass plate, which can properly air-quench temper a bend-formed glass plate so as to correspond to its bent shape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The air-quench tempering apparatus 10 for the glass plate is equipped with a nozzle 108 of an upper blowing head 24 and a nozzle 110 of a lower blowing head 26 for blowing air to a bend-formed glass plate G, and the glass plate G is air-quench tempered by blowing air from both nozzles 108, 110, where the height positions of blow ports of nozzles 108, 110 are changed so as to correspond to a bent shape at an orthogonal direction Y perpendicular to the conveyance direction X of the glass plate G to which air is blown from the nozzles 108, 110.
