<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve inconvenience in manufacturing caused by the fact that a communication system between the existing display and an elevator control panel is different for each installation destination when the existing display of an elevator is replaced with a new display. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a series communication cable is connected to an image control device 7, a CPU 19 detects connection by the function of a series communication connection detection circuit 13. The CPU 19 receives series communication data through a series communication transmitting/receiving circuit 12, and allows an image display 6 to display an image according to the received series communication data. When a contact signal cable is connected to the image control device 7, the CPU 19 detects connection by the function of a contact reception detecting circuit 15.
