<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle for a shopping bag distributed when purchasing merchandise at a supermarket, a convenience store, or the like which eliminates a pain caused when a hand carry portion of the shopping bag cuts into the flesh of a palm or a finger in carrying the bag with heavy merchandise put therein. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The handle body 1 made of a combination of an inner vinyl material 3 and an outer sponge material 2 is formed into a C-shape and is made to flexibly respond to the weight of the shopping bag when the heavy merchandise are put in it, and the handle body 1 is made easily fittable to the hand and is easily gripped when used.
