The image forming apparatus includes: a job reception unit configured, in response to an execution request for a job, to receive a second program in which an insertion process for a first program that executes the job is described or to receive identification information of the second program; an application unit configured to apply the second program to the first program loaded in a memory; and a job execution unit configured to execute the job based on the first program to which the second program is applied.
