<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup, optical recording and reproducing apparatus and electronic appliance which can fully radiate heat by a light source, even if a planar optical waveguide is used. <P>SOLUTION: This optical pickup 100 comprises: a semiconductor laser element 11; a flexible optical waveguide 12 which is planar and flexible and guides the laser beam from the semiconductor laser element 11; and a grating element 14 which is formed on a surface of the flexible optical waveguide 12, emits the laser beam from the semiconductor laser element 11 guided by the flexible optical waveguide 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
