<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data creation apparatus and a data processing method capable of freely selecting a necessary scene from media content. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A data processing method for a data processing device having an input unit for inputting context content description data and a selection unit for selecting segments from the context content description data, includes: an input step in which the input unit inputs context content description data having both a data structure unit describing a plurality of segments showing different scenes of media content composed of a plurality of scenes and an attribute unit which is attribute information assigned to each of the plurality of segments and which describes at least one pair of a viewpoint represented by at least one keyword representing the content of a scene, and scores for representing a degree of importance of each segment based on the viewpoint; and a selection step in which the selection unit selects a segment based on at least one of the viewpoint and the scores.
