PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber composite material having a low thermal expansion coefficient. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for producing a fiber composite material, wherein, in the case the aspect ratio of a carbon fiber is denoted as x and the volume ratio of the carbon fiber in the fiber composite material is denoted as y, the volume ratio y is regulated so as to satisfy inequality (1): y≥0.253×x<SP>-0.145</SP>-0.03.
