<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely monitor the environmental contamination state of an isolated area and output an alarm by setting an alarm device in an optional place on the circumference of the isolated area. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The environmental monitoring alarm system includes: a measuring device 2 which measures an environmental contamination by inclusion of toxic substances and outputs a signal showing a value of the contamination; and an alarm device 1 which is connected to the measuring device to input the signal, and outputs an alarm of environmental contamination. The alarm device 1 includes: reference value setting means R0-Rn, DS, Ctt1-Cttn which perform setting of a reference value corresponding to the signal showing the value of the contamination; a comparison means 13 which compares the reference value set to the reference value setting means with the value of the contamination; and an alarm means 14 which determines a level of environmental contamination based on output of the comparison means and outputs the alarm of environmental contamination.
