[Classes 103 (ii) and 108 (i)] In doors and other parts of motor vehicle bodies in which slidable windows are provided and in which covering sheets for the window receptacles are used for attachment to the inner sides of the framework, a rail a, b is adapted to abut against the inner side of the covering sheet h and to provide a groove m, n with which the upper edge of the sheet can be engaged, the rail being secured at its ends to the frame members. Two rails may be arranged as shown in Figs. 1, 2, on the front and rear doors of a vehicle. Each rail is in the form of a frame comprising upper and lower parts a, b and ends c, d of rolled or drawn metal strips, secured together by brazing, &c.</p> |
