<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator time correction system can surely correct the time of an internal clock to the required present accurate time by the standard time received by a GPS receiver. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The elevator time correction system 40 has the GPS receiver 1 installed on an elevator car 2 or at a peripheral part of the car 2, and a control device 3 in the car. The control device 3 in the car is equipped with a time receiving command function part 8 for transmitting a time receiving command 8S to the GPS receiver 1, the internal clock 7, and a time correction function part 10 for correcting the time of the internal clock 7. The GPS receiver 1 tries to receive the standard time information SR based on the time receiving command 8S. The GPS receiver 1 transmits a receiving state and the standard time information SR obtained when succeeding a receiving to the time receiving command function part 8, and the time correction function part 10 corrects the time of the internal clock 7 by the standard time information SR.
