A thrust roller bearing having rollers; a retainer; an annular first raceway ring having a raceway surface, an outer peripheral flange section, and a first claw section; and an annular second raceway ring having a raceway surface, an inner peripheral flange section, and a second claw section. Between the outer peripheral flange section and the outer edge of the retainer and between the inner peripheral flange section and the inner edge of the retainer are provided inner gaps for allowing eccentric rotation between the first raceway ring and the second raceway ring. Also, at least either of the first and second claws is a projection formed by bending. Further, that edge of the retainer which faces the projection has a first tilt section (13c) at its corner on the side facing the raceway surface and also has a second tile section (13d) at its corner on the opposite side in the thickness direction of the retainer, and the second tilt section (13d) has a relatively smaller radial length than the first tilt section (13c). |
