PURPOSE: A linear compressor is provided to reduce the noise with a piston guide between a piston and a connecting member since the noise is delivered to the connecting member, a supporter and a main spring. CONSTITUTION: A linear compressor comprises followings. A cylinder has a compression space. A piston(300) has a sealed side located inside a cylinder and a plurality of inlets connecting with a compressing space in the sealed side. A suction valve(310) opens and closes the inlet. A connecting member(480) is connected with the one end part of the piston and has a permanent magnet making the piston have a back and forth motion with the electromagnetic force. A piston guide(330) for a damper is installed between the piston and the connecting member.
