<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible printed wiring board and an optical pickup device provided with the same, which widens the flexibility in designing the shape of the flexible printed wiring board, and completely removes a solder easily. <P>SOLUTION: In the flexible printed wiring board 10, an aperture 17 is formed in a coating layer 12. A portion in contact with the aperture portion 16, in an edge portion 18 in contact with an aperture portion 16 of the edge portion 18 exposed to the aperture 17, is called "an edge end portion" 19. In the edge end portion 19, the shortest distance on a support layer 14 in the aperture 17, between the edge end portion 19 of the longitudinal one X1 of one conductor layer 13 and the edge end portion 19 of another conductor layer 13, is longer than the distance between two edge portions 18.
