PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary warning as compared to before by more minutely varying a condition of warning according to a road gradient, in technology for performing the warning based on a physical quantity related to behavior of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In a fuel-saving driving support system, information about the road gradient is acquired from map data or various kinds of sensors (steps 115, 130), it is decided whether a present position is flat or not based on the specified gradient (step 135), and a threshold value according to the gradient of an upgrade or a decline is specified based on a present vehicle speed and a variation threshold value table when it is not flat, i.e., when it is one of the upgrade and the decline (step 145). It is determined whether each of a present acceleration opening and a present engine speed exceeds a set threshold value or not (step 150), the warning is performed to a driver for the exceeding physical quantity (step 155).
