PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire easily an information about a route on which a user needs. SOLUTION: In a route information providing device 10, a plurality of transit positions at a time of user's moving are acquired from a communication terminal 20 or various server devices 30, a route function which is formed by interpolating the plurality of the obtained transit positions and is stored in association with the route information which is the information about this route function. The route function which is passing through the position received from the user or passing near by is searched, and the route information in association with the searched route function is output. The interpolation is performed, for example, by function interpolation or inference using route information including railroad or road.
